The primary dedication of ABMI is to educate our medical community in the art of Balneo Medicine.
Our main activity is to develop curricula for a multitude of online courses for all main medical branches which can benefit from the healing principles of Balneo Medicine.
By its nature, Balneo Medicine is directly related to Balneo Tourism. Patients are travelling to the natural spas and resorts of the renowned Balnear areas of the Alps and other regions. The medical Balneo centres are representative of such natural springs locations.
VRP – DEPARTMENTS and OBJECTIVES
The efficiency of the VR P and the vast coverage of proposed goals can only be established by a rigorous and precise demarcation of clearly defined OBJECTIVES.
Furthermore, the most significant objectives have been entrusted to specific DEPARTMENTS with their parameters, activities, reports and management.
The following brief description of our departments underlines the complexity of the program but also illustrates our permanent consideration in regards to funds saving and maximizing the priorities of the program.
ADMINISTRATION and PUBLIC RELATIONS.
By combining the program Administration with the eminently important Public Relations activities, the goal of minimizing the most expensive part of such a program in having the core team of managers reach out to our donors and perform other duties of representation has been accomplished.
This double duty of our Board has the unique opportunity to address our donors from a position of complete knowledge of our program and manifested competence.
Our donors can have complete confidence, they are engaging in donation discussions with top members of our team, able to answer all and any donors’ questions and offering them qualified and well-founded facts regarding our charitable program.
DEVELOPMENT.
Since the PANDEMIC, medical technologies and treatment applications have been revolutionized , particularly in the CDD ( chronic degenerative diseases) department, respiratory afflictions, Immunology and many other directions.
Our medical team’s goal is to provide American Veterans with the newest therapeutic medical treatments as they become available.
The UPGRADING of the V R P is a permanent and never-ending activity and will continue to be as such into the future especially when news of new possible pandemics flood the media daily.
Considering the complexity of our veterans’ health reality, any novelty in chronic degenerative disease management, IMMUNE OPTIMIZATION, Post CORONA SYNDROME therapies and others must be incorporated into the VRP.
REFERRALS.
Patients’ referrals to the Balneo medical centers in Europe require a very precise sequence of medical data transfer.
Many steps are required for the treating medical team in the EU centres to have all the medical information on a coming American veteran before the patient arrives at the centre.
An initial conference with the home doctor in the US will determine the kour of the specific program.
The progress of the patients during the Balneo treatment and the final medical report must be provided to the home doctor as well.
Furthermore, the permanent medical contact between the home doctor in the US and the Balneo medical centre in the EU must continue, to ensure the home care of the veteran into the future.
Returning to the EU center for the following cour treatment is advisable and extremely beneficial for the veterans.
The REFERRAL DEPARTMENT is the key element in the proper sequence of the program.
TRANSFER.
Closed connected to the patents REFERRALS to the European centres, the TRANSFER of such patients must be managed by us and our European travel agencies extremely precise, for the entire process, the treatment and the return of the patients thereafter to demonstrate the same quality and competence as the rest of the program.
The V R P has developed specific service agreements with the most qualified agencies, to cover all destinations in the program with main airports in proximity to the Balneo centres playing a major role in patients’ comfort.
TREATMENTS.
The central element of the entire VRP is represented by the Balneo medical treatment of our veterans in the EU centres.
A double medical team, one here in the US working together with the other one in the EU must correlate their efforts precisely for a successful and comfortable therapy for the patient.
The basic Balneo medical therapy, THE KUR (the course, in French) may vary from 3 to 5 weeks and will cover potentially all the initial medical goals as discussed with the home doctor and described to the patient during the initial consultation.
During the program the Balneo Center will inform the home doctor of all developments and upon the patient’s discharge will recommend the follow-up home treatment and place it in the hands of the home doctor in the US.
Our TREATMENTS DEPARTMENT is involved in a consulting and coordination capacity with the Balneo medical team and will maintain the liaison position between the home doctor in the US and the Balneo centre.
EDUCATION.
For veteran patients to obtain the maximum effectiveness of the treatment, and to be able to continue their health care back home, an adequate and well-trained medical specialist in the US must be present.
Balneology and Balneo Medicine are quite unknown in the US and doctors understanding the Balneo Medicine benefits here are certainly not to be available for our veterans.
As presented above, in the interest of the patient and for the Balneo medical treatment to succeed, the EU centre must communicate with the veterans home doctor quite frequently. The American doctor should at least be knowledgeable of the fundamental principles of Balneology.
Our EDUCATION DEPARTMENT is presently designing the only Post Graduate Program in Balneologie in English and online available today.
This program is sponsored by A B M I and based on the German Balneo Medicine curriculum of V d B.
At the end of the program, the American doctors will be able to understand the basic principles of Balneology, be able to professionally be involved in the veterans’ therapies, understand the medical technology and rationals and, most important, be able to continue his patients’ therapy home.
Our POST GRADUATE PROGRAM IN BALNEOLOGY accomplished several vital and unique medical goals, elevating the veterans’ healthcare options to a level non-existent presently.
VETERANS HOME CENTERS, ( VHC)
Our charitable program , within the V R P, allocates particular interest and effort in promoting the establishment of regional/local Balneo centres for veterans and centred around a Balneo Medicine trained doctor- the VETERANS HEALTH CENTERS, ( V H C ).
Our Post Graduate Program in Balneologie will make the initial step in preparing American doctors to understand Balneology and be able to coordinate local efforts of veterans and their families to establish such healthcare centres.
This will be an ideal way to continue home the treatment initiated in the EU Balneo centres, to keep the veteran patient focused on his health and to intervene promptly when the health quality degrades anew.
One single Balneology-trained doctor could initiate the establishment of such a centre as well as supervise, diagnose, treat and refer out an increasing number of veterans in his community, expanding continuously the VRP and its health benefits to an ever larger group of veterans.
Although the V R P can function without the VHC (the veterans health centres), the expansion of the VRP beneficiaries and the health monitoring of treated veterans would be doubtless exponentially increased by such development.
Only considerable charitable support, on the other hand, could generate the funds required for such a chain of VHCs.
