As the first episode in our new sub-series dedicated to resorts and health centers of Europe we introduced to our American audience to the world-renowned Center of Rogaska in Slovenia.
With the help of our ABMI director Prof. Dr. Koscak, we discussed Rogaska firstly over its geographic location, at the border to Croatia and centered into a unique mineral water within the geological region of Europe.
We cover a short history from its first mentioned healing reputation in the early Middle Age, the promotion to a healing center at the beginning of the 19th century, followed by the establishment of the first hospital and documented medical scientific healing presence. Continuing into our contemporary BALNEOLOGY era, Rogaska earned its reputation as the ultimate “Kurort “, the perfect HEALTH RESORT and the first on any list of health destinations.
The ” iconic ” pavilion of Rogaska, built on top of the absolutely unique mineral water spring of DONAT WATER is recognized today as the true spring of health by millions of chronic patients from all over the world.
We gave a general view of the diverse kur-guest accommodations from the five star hotels to the very private cottages, a true heaven of total relaxation.
We concluded with the recommendation for a 4 to 5 weeks kur program as a supreme health rehabilitation.
